Walmer Installations Ltd is a family run company established in 1994 by Chris Monks who remains the Managing Director to the present day. Ownership is shared with Chris’ wife Christine. Chris had 10 years sales and technical experience in the industry at the point of setting up the company. He believed he could make the whole sales process easier for the customer, wanting to buck the trend of the stereotypical Double-Glazing company which was characterized by inflated prices, dubious high-pressure selling techniques and implausible special offers such as ‘5 windows for the price of 1’. From the outset, Chris’ model was simply to explain the technicalities and quality of the products offered, along with giving his very best price with no sales gimmicks, no ‘special offers’ and therefore no need for the customer to go through the embarrassing haggling process.

Walmer Installations never claim that our quotation will be the cheapest, but we do offer assurance in the quality of the products we sell alongside a strong focus on full customer satisfaction. Our products come with a 10-Year guarantee and products will be FENSA certified and the guarantee insurance-backed where required. We have a full time, dedicated service engineer to ensure that any guarantee work is carried out as quickly as possible.
Chris takes great pride in the fact that he is now embarking on his 4th 10-Year guarantee period. How many companies can claim to be under the same ownership, under the same name, for this time? Many have ceased trading simply to renege the obligations and expense of fulfilling their customer’s guarantees.
With a no-nonsense, transparent approach, Walmer Installations has gone from strength to strength. We are proud to receive a significant proportion of work from repeat business and the recommendation of customers passing on their feedback to friends and relatives.
As the company has grown it really has become a true family affair with all 3 of Chris and Christine’s children, Natasha, Robert & George, now also at the forefront of running the business.
We cover South-East Kent and whilst we mainly deal with residential installations, we also undertake local commercial work including installations in a number of the local schools. Chris also loves a challenge and enjoys taking on unusual projects that other companies may shy away from. Although we do not consider ourselves a show room company, we do have displays of some of the most popular products in our office which can be viewed by pre-arranged appointment.
